Jakarta – Widyaiswara is one of the factors in determining the success of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) development. Therefore, Widyaiswara should be able to design and implement innovative learning methods.
“Now we are facing new challenges as a result of the generational differences. They are categorized by titles such as Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y and Millennial. Each generation has its own unique characteristic and capacity. Therefore, we should accommodate different learning styles.” This topic was raised by the Chairman of National Institute of Public Administration, Dr. Adi Suryanto, M,Si in his opening remark during the event of “Scientific Oration and Inauguration of Widyaiswara Ahli Utama”, at Prof. Dr. Agus Dwiyanto, MPA Auditorium, on Wednesday (28/3).
Chairman of NIPA added that the learning approach especially for Millennial ASN should be adjusted according to their characteristics who live in the era of media convergence. Therefore, Widyaiswara should be able to adapt with the situation and constantly improving media-based learning method. Widyaiswara should be able to utilize technology in enhancing teaching and learning, continuously developing new method, innovation and programs, as well as improving substantial yet up to date learning materials
